Rusted Magnet on Tunze Nanostream

Hello,

I was doing some maintenance on my frag tank currently hosting all my SPS and was found something which looks like rust on the back of the magnet

Can we confirm if this is indeed rust and if I should get a new magnet?

Forgot to mention, I do not use GFO to export phosphates as I use the Zeovit package for nutrient export.

It is rust, but given the appearance I am almost sure it is from iron that was picked up by the magnet and not that the plate under the magnet is rusting. I would just clean it with vinegar and a brush. Their is nothing toxic in the magnet holder. The magnets often will even have some iron filings on them brand new that they pick up in production at the factory.
