Rusty Brown Flatworms

I picked up some flatworms from somewhere, probably on a coral frag that went straight to my display. Just added a six line from my quarantine. Also in the tank are a purple tang, harlequin tusk, two blue chin triggers and a tiny flame angel. Any other critter (quasi-reef-safe) that I could add to the mix to help get rid of these?

I'd add several wrasse in the coris family. I like yellow and Christmas and melanrus.

Lei has some Indo Yellow Coris wrasses and Gateway had some Green Coris Wrasses this past weekend.

I've heard and experienced a green coris wrasse and I wouldn't ever put one in a reef again. I'd say the are not reef safe at all.

Depending on how many you have, some airline tubing and a filter sock will take care of a lot of them.

I too brought in some flatworms at some point. I bought a Melanurus wrasse who never touched them. I recently purchased a Marbled Wrasse because he's a cool looking fish. He's in that same family as the Melanurus. I've never seen him eat one, but I've also noticed that they're not as abundant as they were before.

Spend some time sucking as many of them out as you can. I found that a turkey baster will dislodge them and then you can grab them.

As long as you keep their numbers down, they don't seem to hurt anything. The biggest risk is overpopulation and then a sudden die off which could really do some damage.

My favorite fish to eat flat worm is springeri damsel. You can add a few in your tank to attack flat worm. I have them in my frag tanks they works great! And they are cheap :)

I tried them to no avail.
What worked for me was a pair of Potters Wrasses, ate 'em all!

If I can get to St. Charles I will probably add a yellow coris wrasse. I figure the tank is big enough and has enough rock that the six line might leave it alone. My triggers keep it pretty much in check. As to wrasses in a reef, my tusk has started on my snail population. Expensive fish food. The fish is crazy cool so I can live with it as well.
