rusty nanostream shaft

I hate to complain but is there any way I can get a new shaft for my nano stream? It hasn't been in there more than 2 months and the bottom of the shaft is considerably rusty. The part below the white spacer only. The rest is clean.

If you can see that part below the white spacer that is a problem. The shaft is not supposed to be removable. You really need to get the pump replaced. If you send it to me I will replace it. The shaft is stainless steel and should work the same as any stainless steel shaft, like on a maxi jet or most powerheads. Some surface oxidation will develop but it should not actually rust.
