Hello all! Been awhile since I have posted. I have had an issue with my rw-15. It would just freeze and not work. First it was once and awhile, just would unplug it and back to normal. Well now its done lol. Will not work at all. Anyone else have any issues with theirs? I have had mine for about a year.

I want to just buy new ones, but if this is a issue with everyone then I will have to look for some other means of circulation.

Thanks in advance!

I have two RW-8s and knock on wood they have performed without issue. I'm curious as to everyone's maintenance schedule for their RW pumps. I give mine a vinegar bath every month or two and after the cleaning you can tell a big difference in the performance.

If you look around rc you will see that jaebo's have about a 50% failure rate. Pick up some used tunzes or vortechs.

I can honestly say that I have 2 RW-8 pumps and I have not had a single issue with them. I do have a problem with the JBWave not allowing the pumps to go below 30%, but I have had no issues with the pumps themselves.

I've heard from a distributer that the issue with Jebaos is that the controller overheats. Consider its location and maybe try to add a heatsink. Should be easy to replace a controller. I have 7-8 in use and have not had one fail.

My rw-15 one has worked flawlessly for almost a year the other had a propeller shaft break then the motor went bad so I guess I'm at 50% failure rate but mine did the same thing yours did acted weird for a while then just stopped, check you purchase date might be under warranty, who did you order from?

I have 3 controllers for sale if you need one, 20.00 one is brand new and one was used for 2 months

If I were to do a mp 40, how many would you all suggest for a 225? 72x24x30 with a overflow on one side. The calculator on ecotech suggests only one

Maaaaaaan lol. I told you that calculator is from the old pumps too, 3675gph, now that they're cranking out 4500gph one would definitely work for now, plus you also have an wp40, run the wp40 til it dies then buy a second mp40. Unless you want to dish out $700 for two right off the bat.

Well I decided to give jebao one last shot. I purchased 2 rw20s for my 225. Should be way more than enough flow. My rw 15 had to run almost on full to get the water moving. Hopefully these don't die on me. Lol
