will joes juice kill or harm any corals. I tried to be careful when applying it and the current took the extra that sprayed out got on to my anthelia and xenias and they haven't opened up since. did this harm them ? I was under the assumption that it was coral safe.

i had some JJ land on some muchrooms once and they shriveled up and died. thats what JJ is supposed to do. they might be ok, but dont surprised if they dont. good luck with them, hope they pull thru for ya.

thats why they recommend you turn off all pumps before using it. it will kill other corals, after all aiptasia is a coral. ive seen it kill clams also

?'s about joe's juice

Bigginapk, I found if I mix Mrs. Wages Pickle lime with RO water I can get it much thicker than with Joe's Juice and can target it a little more effectively. I did have a problem with Joe's Juice affecting some of my zoos around the treated area.

ill will do the same too your pulyps as your aptasia .Always turn your pumps off and it will just jall right into them. Also I have had the come back but one more treatment took care of them.

Wow, and I always thought they were a anemone

Every time i use jj my aptasia comes back in teh exact same spot in a few weeks and its the exact same size as well. I have even gone as far as using brime with jj to entice the aptasia to eat it more.....i watched it eat a ton, then die, then reapear the same size a few weeks later.........

aiptasia are anemones, anemones are also corals, mushrooms are anemones, mushrooms are also corals. jellyfish are also corals

Here is part of the article where he gets jellyfish are corals:

The polyp's tentacles trap prey using stinging cells called nematocysts. These are cells modified to capture and immobilize prey, such as plankton, by injecting poisons, firing very rapidly in response to contact. These poisons are usually weak but in fire corals they are potent enough to harm humans. Nematocysts can also be found in jellyfish and sea anemones.

"coral" is a very broad term. i guess i should have said cnidarians.
