SA dosing pump with Profilux controller

Hi all,

Just looking for some help. We wanted to get a slave dosing pump to connect to our profilux controller however the supplier had none instock and said it would be months before they get any more. They assured us that the SA version would be able to be connected to the profilux controller. However reading the instructions it says if you connect it to a controller it may damage both devices (good way to flush money down the toilet).

Can anyone give me pointers on if it is possible to connect it to the controller and if it is how we would go about setting it up and what cables we should use (only supplied with the power cable and would like it running today).

Thanks helps in advance!

Looking at it, it seems to be a RJ12 connection however the ends we have (was hoping we may be able to crimp our own cables) don't fit .....

Stand Alone is exactly that... sorry you were misguided but to my knowledge they've never been designed to work together in the least.

Thanks for confirming. The supplier said they will sort it out when their next shipment comes in.

I think it is a huge flaw on GHLs part as I would prefer to have the SA and control it with the profilux. Just incase it needs to be removed the dosing pump will still be operational.

The whole point of the SA doser is that it is Stand Alone. this is why they make two versions so people with a controller do not have to pay out for a secondary built in controller.

I am sorry your vendor miss informed you and glad to here he is sorting it out ;)

Thanks for the reply however, being a programmer myself I know it is not at all difficult to make a device with its own controller receive commands from another. Realistically this is a huge flaw on GHL's behalf as reading online a lot of people have wanted to purchase the stand alone unit to allow them to future proof if they need it disconnected from the profilux (eg the profilux craps itself). Hence why I was happy to purchase it (in accordance to their advice that it could be controlled by the profilux) when they told me it would be at least a month before the could get the slave version in stock.
