Sad day last night

My yellow tang past away last night. This tang has been with me for about a year and 1/2; and it was my very first fish. The only thing I changed in my setup the night before is that I turned on my ozone generator after being off for a about a month.

I could feel your pain. I thought I lost my Yellow Tang last week when I had my accident. I didn't see him for a whole day and thought he was dead but luckily he survived.

That yellow tang was my son's favorite fish. He likes this firsh because he can hand feed it.

did you have a controller on the ozone?

that was my first thought also raddogz. That and any GAC (preferrably fresh) in the output of whatever he is using as an ozone reactor.

The o3 generator is tied to a neptune controller pro. I only dose 03 for 20min every hour and if ORP go above 450 the controller will shut it down. I'm using a enaly 03 generator which doses 200mg/hr.

does it dose into your skimmer ? Where is the ORP probe ?

I dose it thru the skimmer. The ORP is in th sump where my skimmer is also located.

Did you make sure that the Enaly does not conflict with your X10 ? This is for future reference.

What accident? I've been out of the loop for a while; haven't followed this thread. Call me if you get the chance.

I'm using a dc8 with my neptune controller. It is suppose to be more reliable than an x10.
