Sad Day Today

Would a gfci breaker of stopped this situation?

So sorry to hear this and am so glad you and everyone are ok.

Because of your misfortune, which I am very sorry for, I got my icecap mounted finally as well as putting 'good' drip loops on all my cords. I also went to H.D. and got In-Use wet covers for the two receptacles behind my tank. So you may have saved my lazy butt from a disaster.
Thank you.

Hey Jeff,

wasn't that mike's old tank? he sure gave you a great deal.

Don't worry I'll hook you up when you want to start again.

yes and yes, When i get that 210 from ya i will put a call out for a frag party at my house to all my fellow reefers, mabe some bbq and beers

Jeff,
I am so glad everyone is safe, equipment can be replaced.
Not long ago, when I installed my ReefKeeper II, I installed the power strip 3 feet high inside my equipment cabinet. If it gets wet, I will be doing a dog paddle. Once before I found one of my plug strips (on the floor) arcing and popping. I hope this thread will make everyone take a look at the wiring for their tanks (and the rest of the house) and make safe. Plug strips are notorious, I have seen plug strips plugged into plug strips :eek2:
Not sure why I did not see this thread sooner, email over load I guess.
I am heading for a flashlight, it's inspection time!

Take Care
