240 Gallon Saltwater REEF Aquarium - serious buyers only please - $8900

Not just another fish tank...
A saltwater coral reef aquarium, with fish!!!

Pictures do this tank no justice, you must see it in person.

My loss of work forces the sale of this Aquarium. I'm SAD to see it have to go.
... however, I have 4 other saltwater aquariums, and they too will be up for sale if this tank doesn't sell first.

I'll give you a high-level description of what's included or it's main components;
(as this only covers the main components - not all the "stuff" I have to give with the purchase)

- 240gal Main Display (Acrylic tank 8'x2'x2' - no scratches, perfect shape)
- 135gal glass sump (30gal refugium) 6'x18"x23"
- ASM G5 protein skimmer (36" tall, ran by two Sedra 9000 pumps)
- 54W UV Sterilizer
- (4) 120W LED Pendants (just purchased 9/1 for $2100.00) wirelessly controlled and on timers.
- 1/3HP Aqua-Logic drop-in chiller with dual stage controller
- 800W heater
- 2200 Backup Battery (UPS)
- (3) Magdrive 1800gph return pumps
- custom stand and canopy, painted satin black
- all plumbing, and misc parts

STOCKED with;
- 51 (plus or minus) fish
- lots and lots of coral species (LPS, SPS, Softies, Palys, Zoas, etc)
- plus hundreds of pounds of live rock and live sand

NO HAGGLERS, NO TIRE KICKERS, NO LOW-BALLERS.
AND NO, I AM NOT PARTING THE SYSTEM OUT nor am I interested in any trades.

Even though it says; "no trades"... I'm thinking if you are, or know of an HVAC person. I'd be willing to work a trade for A/C in my home. It's a 2000sq.ft house already ducted. The gas heater would be replaced (at my request) too. All those details could be ironed out with a prospective person to trade with.

Ya... it made TOTQ on SDReefs dot com. And we just took pictures of it. I have yet to write a history of the tank to go along with the posting of the tank pictures (I lag). How ironic would it be if it sold, and I still didn't have the TOTQ posted onto the site?!

FYI (update to the sale);

I also forgot to mention, it'll come with it's own FRAG TANK SYSTEM.
I had cut down a 55gal acrylic bowfront tank and made it into two 25gal tanks. Routering out the acrylic so both tanks were mirror images of each other. I then plumbed them through my sump, so that any frags that came out of my Reef... were in the same water (same conditions/parameters).

The bottom tank is where I place crushed rock and coral, to allow the frags to naturally re-attach (I can't stand frag plugs) and get them ready to sell or give-a-way. When they are good and attached to the rubble, and ready to sell/give-a-way I move them to the top tank.

This system consists of;
(2) 25gal bowfront acrylic tanks (36" wide)
(2) 120W LED lighting (1 per tank)
custom black stand (both tanks, are on this stand as pictured)
Mag12 pump (1200gph)
All plumbing (removable with unions, etc)

As I said... it'll come WITH the 240Gal purchase!! :fish1:

Figured I'd update this thread...

The actual sale is still pretty much the same, and I've reposted the tank onto Craigslist with a MUCH lower price tag. MUCH LOWER!!!

And now, it won't come with the frag tank system. As that will sell separately.

I really don't have to sell, as I've picked up work doing handyman projects. However, now that I don't have a lot of time for it... and, I keep thinking of life without it (less worry - less stress - no tanksitter needed - etc)... I'd like to sell it. This will be my last push again for a while.... if no nibbles, I'll keep it around another year. :fish2:
