Safe garbage can liner for curing rock?

I was reading the sticky above "Preparing Rock" and I read about using a Brute trash can or something with a garbage can liner. I already have a good size container for the amount of rock I want to cure only it is pretty dirty and has some ink stains I can't get out.

So what would be a safe liner I could use? I assume this is like a trash bag of some kind unless I have a complete misunderstanding. Are trash bags safe to cure rocks in?

well it would be used for atleast a month, is it not worth 30 bucks? then it can be used for either more rock, or it could be used as a water mixing station. this is what i did.

Are you planning on setting up tank? If yes, I would just add the previous live rocks in the tank with saltwater. Let cycle & cure the live rocks at the same time.

I have a 40 gallon brute that I use to mix saltwater. when im done it gets wheeled away and stuffed into a corner downstairs

I would have zero problems using any cheap garbage can provided I washed it out thoroughly with mild detergent/water then vinegar..
Same goes for any plastic tote,etc...

I use those cheap "Sterilite totes",etc.. all the time for curing rock/moving critters,etc... without issue..

I also wouldn't have a problem just using a regular black garbage bag as a "liner" if you didn't want to clean said trash can.
I probably wouldn't a bag thats "scented" though..
