"Safe" tank size

Anyone have any idea what size tank (weight) would be okay for a second story room. I am going to be setting up (or at least specing out) a system for my sister next week and one of the options for locating the tank is in their second floor bedroom. I have not been to the house yet and have no idea about the home's construction (block/frame, load bearing walls, exterior walls, etc..), but I can find out relatively soon. They are most likely looking for something in the 50-90 (110???) gallon range with a 58 or 65g tank being the most likely candidate.

Any input would be appreciated.

First knowing if your crossing the joists or going along one makes a big difference, also if it's solid wood joist or manufactured, If you place it along an exterior wall it will have more strength than in the center of a joist span. Just a couple thing to think about.

So here's some math to help 1 US gallon = 8.35 lbs
The info I found on floor joist is 1.5KN/sq/m or 337.2lbs to 3.28 sq feet
and solid wood joist in older houses would be able to take little more load.
Stand construction is a big deal, a 4 point stand will take all the weight dispersed on the sq inch of each point. Flat stands disperse over a wider area. Hope this helps

I had a 125 on the 3rd story of our old apartment. I knew where the cross joints were and the whole floor was poured. Do your research no matter what size you do.
