Salifert Nitrate test instructions

I apologize if this is not the correct section or if this has been answered before, but a search didn't return what I was looking for.

I have a nitrate test kit by Salifert and the instructions say to add 1 scoop of reagent 1 - but it's not powder, it's liquid! What are the correct instructions for this specific batch with the liquid reagent 1?

Also I read somewhere here someone saying that you should add 10ml instead of 1ml which is what is said in the instructions.

I am getting unexpected high results with this kit, even after using a whole bottle of NO3PO4X. It should have reduced by now...

I do have the powder (#2) and the liquid (#1) version. The instructions in my test are wrong, they are for a kit with 2 powder reagents.

They must have changed them because my Salifert Nitrate kit uses 2 powder reagents. My kit is 2 years old though. If they have changed it looks like you have the old instructions.

1) Fill test vial w/ 1ml of water
2) Add to this 4 drops of NO3-1
3) Add 1 level scoop of NO3-2 powder (compress this powder against the inner side of the powder container). Swirld gently (do NOT shake) for 30 seconds. Let it stand for 3 minutes
4) Color comparison:

....I assume the rest is the same.

Thanks, that should be the right way, I was told before to use 4 drops but as the results were a bit off I thought it could be wrong.
