anyone know a good way to bring salinity down safely, I keep adding lots of r/o water from evap, but my hydrometer stays at 35/1.027, im just afraid of taking out too much SW and shocking fish, im sure someone know a saf method

There's nothing wrong w/ 1.027. 1.026 is natural sea water. But if you really want to lower it. Just do a water change and don t add as much salt as you normally do.

just so you know, you are supposed to add only ro water to your top off as salt does not evaporate. so by adding just ro water to your top off you won't see your sg drop, you have to take salt water out of the tank and replace with plain rodi water to lower it.

i hope you wern't adding sw for your evaporated water before, as that will raise the sg.
