Salt Creep on Walls

We took our 65 gallon tank down last weekend and the wall behind it has salt creep all over it, does anyone have any suggestions on how to "wash" this wall so that we can clean it to repaint?

You can try some vinegar and water to wash the wall down. If your worried about some staining coming through the new pain you can always use one or two coats of a product called kilz. it is a stain blocker.

Yes,Killz or another oil based primer will cover anything.Just wash with a mild bleach/water mixture prior,let it completely dry then prime with a oil based stain blocking primer.GL

Kilz also makes a latex primer - low odor and great coverage
