Does salt creep affect how salty the water is? My heater, filters, and penguin have salt creep on them.

Probably depends on the size of the tank.
Measuring SG routinely is the way to go I would think.

Not as big of an affect as you would think. I wouldn't be concerned. Happens to everyone. I've personally never seen a noticeable change on my old 10G and current 75G.

Yep pretty standard occurrence. It does not affect SG much at all, the salt creep happens very slowly. Normal water changes will manage it for you. I have a 25 gallon tank, I do salt creep clean up/management every six months...I never have observed an SG swing.
