salt level

Hi i am new to the hole thing if the hydrometer is saying 1.012 and i want it to be 1.022 do i add salt or water thanks.

1st if there isn't any thing in the tank then just add salt to the tank to reach your sg level.

if there is animals in the tank premix the salt in rodi water first then add to your tank. taking out tank water a little at a time. if there is animals in the tank raise the sg slowly over a week. if there is nothing in the tank raise it as fast as you want.
