Salt mix calculation

Awhile back i was looking through a thread and the owner had designed PVC tubes and had made several of them to hold the exact amount of salt to make several different amounts of salt water. Does anyone know which thread or where to find it. I have searched for days with no luck?????

I use a electronic food scale that people use when they weigh food when they are on diets. All the salt mixes will state the number of gallons per pounds, For example Tropic Marine pro salt is 5. 5 pounds for 20 gallons. Just weigh the salt adjusted for the container you are putting the salt in and it hits the right amount every time for me. I still measure it with a refractor just to be sure, but I have not yet required any changes to my initial amount that I put in the tub to mix. Each salt mix will have a slight change in the total weight needed.

That sounds like a really good idea. I take it he used several different tubes. It seems like you could do something similar with one big clear tube. . .or a large transparent (or semi-transparent) container. Along the lines of a big measuring cup. You'd have different lines for the amount of salt you'd need for x gallons. I think I'm off to the kitchen section at Walmart.
