salt order

Sometime ago I read we were going to get up a salt order, that is the last I have heard of it Are we getting up a salt order or not. If not I guess I will just buy salt for the store, if so I would like to get in on it. (BTW if we want to get the best price on a salt order we all need to order the same salt)

I am going to need a bucket of Oceanic soon. Hope someone volunteers to get the order together. Were I in Memphis, I would. I think we went through Kermit's for the last group order and Barrett picked it up.

If everyone will get the same type salt they can get a much better price. Kermit's or Memfish or even online. (I would rather use the LFS local)

I could go for a couple buckets of oceanic myself if anyone does decide to go ahead with this.

Since we haven't had a group order since I last did it, I'll pick up the reigns.
I'll repost a thread for this.

I'm curious. After looking at different salt mix chemistry, the Red Sea and HW marine mix look to be the closest to actual sea water. Are brands chosen more based on price or were there other factors that helped you determine the mix you use now?

Here is one chart and info I looked at on this.

RC also goes very in depth on the subject.

I just stick with what I like. I started using Oceanic years ago and have never had a problem. It dissolves easier and has higher initial calcium concentrations. The only other salts that I have tried are Red Sea and Instant ocean. I was not a big fan of either.
