Salt Parameters - a potentially great resource

On a few occassions I have tried finding the Alk, Ca, and Mg content of various salts and have been unable to find anything. I am hoping to get the Alk, Ca, Mg, and salinity levels of the following salts (I realize that salinity is more of a personal preference, but from what I've read the levels are dependent on salinity):

1. Instant Ocean
2. Reef Crystals
3. Marine Enterprises Crystal Sea Marinemix
4. Marine Enterprises Crystal Sea Bioassay Laboratory Formula
5. Oceanic
6. Red Sea Coral Pro
7. Tropic Marin Sea Salt
8. Tropic Marin PRO-REEF
9. SeaChem Marine Salt
10. SeaChem Reef Salt
11. Kent Sea Salt
12. Marine Environment dual phase formula
13. Coralife Scientific Grade Marine Salt
14. OceanPure PRO

If you are using these salts and would like to test your levels, please post them here. Once I start getting results I will be putting them into a table format and hope to be able to post them there. As an end result I am hoping this could be stickied in a forum and available for use. Thanks in advance!

A table sounds like a good idea. You should also do a dot plot showing how the parameters correlate with the different salinity levels.

Your data would be worthless. A different source for every set of data alone introduces an enormous amount of potential error. Then you factor in differences in test kits, errors in the test kits themselves, eye sight, etc... Let the professionals handle the giant tasks.
