Salt Sale

Hung at Sea of Marvels is going to have a sale on Reef Crystals. It is the same salt as Instant Ocean just added Calcium and Magnesium. I switched to it after I talked to the rep about at IMAC. In only 3 water changes my Calcium is now over 400. Prior to that I have always been at 380. Anyway, he is getting 10 buckets in this week and he will sell them for $48.00. If enough people want more he will order more on the 26th. I am getting 3 of those 10 :). He said this is only good this month then they will go back up to $60.00 for club members and $65.00 for others.

He also told me that he will be closed July 6th through July 22nd. He did not think that he would have anyone open the store so if you need something you better get it before then.

what did it take to switch to Reef Crystals?

Just knowing that it was the same formula as Instant Ocean just with added calcium and magnesium. Those..along with iodine are the only additives I add. Hopefully I can eliminate the CA and MG eventually.

Is it $10 per bucket or do they give you discount on shipping if you buy more?

Yeah. I do buy as much as I can at Hungs. He has helped me out a lot over the years. Even at $48.00 that is still cheaper than DR. F&S if they do not give you a shipping discount.

Actually Fosters and Smith was 34.99 for reef crystals with a 8.99 shipping unless you order more than 1 bucket.....I ordered 5 about 4 months ago and it cost me 14.99 to ship all 5

For under $50 I would have just as soon given Hung the business but didn't know about his sale when I ordered from DrF&S two days ago, it was $40 plus shipping, I ordered an autotopoff too so it was a bit more than $10 shipping.

I've ordered from them before and its true its right to your door but the bucket they sent me had no handle -- I thought maybe they took it off for shipping. Minor nitpick I realize :). (I'm 25 minutes from Coralville and was quoted $65 locally.)

I got 8 buckets during one of the last huge DFS sales. They all have handles. Must have been a fluke or just a bucket without a handle.

Still a better deal at Fosters and Smith......... $40 for the salt and $10 for delivery, right to my door, herd to say no to that. I can understand if you want to give Hung the business, as he's local though :)

Put a "UG" in front of the part number and there's another discounted price, in this case only a few dollars but still a discount.

Works on many but not all of their products/supplies.

Hey bob if you out pacing your calcium reactor you should just get an extension. I am pretty sure the CR are modular too.
