So I'm sure everyone else has the same salt creep junk build up everywhere like I do. My question is, is it alright to just knock it back into the water? I've done it before and it just dissolves. Just making sure there isn't a reason not to do this.
i prefer to just wipe it away, never effects my salinity so no sense adding it back into the tank... and you never know what has come in contact with it since it has dried
On anything but a really small tank it will not matter if you just knock it right back in..
The salinity should not be effecting in any meaningful way..
Now of course I assumed that "regular" maintenance is being performed and this is part of it.. If its a salt creep chunk like a baseball then all bets are off..
No baseballs, maybe a potato chip. lol And almost exclusively in the sump. I'm messy enough when I'm in and out of the DT that it doesn't stay dry around the edges long enough to form. But sounds good. I'll just knock it in. I always check my salinity at water changes too and it's easy to fix if it starts to creep away from me.
