Hi,does anyone regularly use coral pro reef salt.it ok for normal home systems ( 60 gallon, with sump etc.im using prodac ocean reef, but I noticed it was reading 8 dkh when mixed up in a bucket (well mixed with pump for 12 hours) .i was thinking of trying to raise the alkalinity for the coral,I have just started using tropic Marin buffer powder, but I thought maybe changing salt might be better .any thoughts?

8 dkh is just fine.. 7-11 is recommended range. (stability is more important than where in the range you fall)
Many match alkalinity to the salt mix they are using so you don't have any possible swings when doing water changes..

red sea makes good stuff IMO..
I just use instant ocean reef crystals because its cheap and readily available even at petco/petsmart,etc...

If you have corals and you cannot maintain stable alkalinity between water changes then you "dose" cal/alk (2 part) to keep it stable.
