The LIVESTOCK does not make a fish store, everyones, got cool stuff. For the most part everyone stocks the same stuff, and it all comes from the same distributors. It is really the employees and the support that the fish store provides to the local hobbyists that makes a fish store. As far as I am concerned, there are only two people in New Mexico that have any business running a fish store. That is Eric and or Rob. No one else can hold a candle to them. So the problem that I have with southwest reef co is that Rob is never there anymore. Every time I, or some of my buddies have brought in livestock to trade,(When Robs not there) they always have an excuse like “there is no room in the fish tanks” or “it is too big or too small.” Last time my friend tried to bring in button polyps (stinkin button polyps) to good old southwest they told him it was too big for them to take. They told him If he wanted, they could break it into smaller pieces and they would take some of it. That is the kind of stuff that bugs me…Finally the coral was taken to Clarks they couldn’t give him store credit, but they would put it on consignment for him. The worst of them all is a guy by the name of Deryus (not sure of the spelling) not only is he incompetent, but rude as well. The last time I took corals into Clark’s Deryus got into an argument with a fellow employee. There was a big old scence about who had the authority to trade for corals. (got more storys about this clown) It wasn’t even a trade I was putting the coral on consignment because they had no money in their budget to buy it from me. There seems to be some kind of power struggle going on there. Anytime I have problems with Doctor Fosters and Smith they just send me out a new coral. SOO much easier!! Actually, if you guys are looking for nice corals at a nice price I would get them from Ken at Scleractina Endemica. He is another one of the guys I forgot to mention that has enough knowledge to operate a fish store.
