salty critter & a refugium question

well today was my second time there and I finally got some new toys

I got an Euro-reef RS-80
Bucket of salt
40 gallon breeder that is going to be my sump/ refugium


What would be the best thing to use for dividers in the refugium?
acrylic or glass?
how far apart for the baffles?
how deep of a sand bed and how much live rock to add?
(will be looking for some sand for it)

I want to do 3 seperate compartments..... overflow into compartment with skimmer.... the refugium.... then spot for return pump (should I make this smaller or leave enough room for a cal/kalk reactor later (ALOT later I am BROKE!)LOL

crazy so you where the one trying to fit all of that in your car, we were the husband ,wife 13 yr old daughter trio that was just buying a Tunze Nanostream 6045 to put in a 15g tank being built as an sps tank

yeah we did it... LOL a little cramped for an hour drive (should of drove the truck but wasn't expecting to buy the tank) (over $40 cheaper then could find around here)

2 adults 2 kids and a 40 gallon breeder in the front of a Ford Focus.... lol

i think i just missed you then.
i saw the car with the stuff packed in it but not the tunze buyer

did you get the pump? were you at the meeting?

yep got the pump and still not enough flow for my tastes Dan said 6025 will be in soon so am going to add 1 along with the 6045

nice, other option is to wait for a 6055 with a singlecontroller. im getting one.

I think the sump you want is similar to melevs model "L".

I am running a sump now similar to model "F" and really like it over others I have tried. It would however take some extra plumbing on a tank with only 1 drain.
