Samala, what's this one?

Hi Samala,

I was given this macro algae for my refugium recently. It was referred to as red cheatomorpha. Is that correct? The texture is finer and the growth appears different to me.

Hmmmmmm. I dont think I'd call this Gracilaria, the fronds are too short in branching patterns than any of the Gracilaria in my books and such. Not to say that growth patterns tell the whole story of course. Lemme look it up tonight Melev. Try to give you a good candidate or two for ID.

No its a perfect picture to attempt an ID actually. I'm still looking.
