I just bought this from jbrown and I thought that I would take pictures as I set it up. I will probably have it up and running in 2 weeks. Im using 2 Quiet one pumps for returns, a 3000 and a 4000HH. For lights im using 6x54w T5 retrofit and a pair of 18w t12 actinics. The dimensions of the tank are 48x24x24. When assembled the system is 6' tall ( 2"shorter than I). AS of right now just I need to plumb it and its ready to add substrate/rocks.

Thanks everybody! I will show a picture of the plumbing next. I would like some opinions on how to get the water to return into the tank......if you dont mind.

One way I was thinking is just make a U tube and two of those flexable hoses directing current in opposite directions.

The other idea would be having a pvc ring around the top of the tank with sprayers pointing downward in all directions.
I dont know what would be better/cause the least ammount of flow loss.

Ok, I went ahead and added livestock yesterday.. Its up and running with no loss of live as of yet. Everything seems stable so far I will probably do a 20 gal water change this weekend to be safe

NICE TANK!

I think you can do something a little more interesting with those big pieces of LR you have.

It all looks like one big boulder with corals on it.

I cant get any depth with the camera. all my caves are lit up.... maybe a darker picture with shadows. your right tho it does look like a big boulder

You have a lot of rock...it is hard to get too creative if you dont have room. I like the look you have.
Besides the canopy not matching the stand i think its off to a great start. I'm wondering what your sump looks like now that everything is running. It looks like you were already running out of room and no skimmer? You may want to plumb a ball valve into the overflow pipe so that you can keep water in your tank should you want to do any sump maintenance.

The skimmer is hangin out back, the calcium reactor is out of view on the right. Im trying to figure out how to fit a kalkwasser doser in there. maybe i will buy the 2.5 gal kent and install a shelf for it off to the left.

Thanks for the input guys!
