Our guest speaker for the evening will be:

Chris Medrano

Since the dawn of mini reef tanks, exporting nutrients to keep aquarium water clean has always been one of the most important tasks to having a successful, thriving tank. Between activated carbon to protein skimming, carbon dosing and denitrification, algae scrubbers have been in the conversation of nutrient export since the beginning but it's making a big resurgence with the increasing popularity of chaetomorpha reactors.

Chaetomorpha Reactors are one of the more interesting newer developments in the reef aquarium hobby.

We will also have a meet and greet prior to presentation and talk about what we have planned for future meetings and events like "œFrag Swaps", field trips and many other idea's. We invite everyone to join our SDMA forum"¦"¦.. We will also send out a monthly newsletter with updates and events along monthly Treasury report"¦"¦. Don't miss what is happening sign up for our newsletter today!

We have setup and booked 2018 meetings for SDMA to meet here as a regular meeting site. They let us use the room and we can show are support by purchasing dinner or a few drinks, this will help continue our use of this meeting site.

Hi Mark, good to hear SDMAS is resurrected! Thanks for getting that going!

You may want to post meetings and events on sdreefs.com too because folks on there don't seem to be aware of it, and there are quite a few San Diego people there that would probably love to attend meetings. I use at that forum and had no idea meetings were back, until I happened upon this notice.

Good to hear we have a new club. It's been ages since there's been any organized club going on for San Diego. The next meeting is posted on SDR. Too bad I didn't know about the last one, would have liked to hear Bob Fenner, he is always great.
