My 60 gallon tank is 2 years old and is only live rock and fish. I curently have this mixed-grade aragonite as substrate

I want to switch to sand, I figure I need about 150 pounds to get a 3-4 inch bed. Im going to buy 5 bags of this

anyone have any advice or any reason I shouldnt switch to this sand?

I made this same switch about 3 months ago and couldn't be more happy with the results. The only addition I did is by about 10 lbs of live sand to seed the sand faster. I also recommend shutting down all pumps when you put the sand in. I did not do this and had a fun time cleaning sand out of my protein skimmer.

Yeah, just make sure you rinse it well before you place it into the tank, You will pat yourself on the back for that after you can still see in the tank.
I have the same sand in my tank and I love it. Make sure power heads and such are turned down if the sand starts to blow around. The sand will stabilize and will beocme weighted down after bacteria start to house and live in and on it.
This will save you from jamming your powerheads, pumps.

Dont just dump the old sand you can get a mesh bag or some nylon stockings and put some of your sand in them, than just lay it on the new sand bed for a week or so and it will seed you new sand.
