Sand bottom or Bare Bottom?

I want to know everyone and anyone's opinion on this.....and what are some of the pros and cons.................I am considering this for my next "project".....

You will get 1000 arguments for and 1000 arguments against it. My opinion? The Europeans have shown 15 years ago that a sand bed is fine if maintained properly. I personally would not own a reef if I had to go BB - just my opinion.....
