Sand Loving Anemones?

M. doreensis comes to mind first. They do like to attach to the intersection of a rock and the bottom of the tank through a sandbed. Mine took a while to settle in and attach but has really been bullet-proof.

I have one it is called a Beaded anemone: she actually hides under the sand at times with just the tentacles above the sand and at other times will climb up on the rockwork to grab a bite to eat.
the only clown that I have found that will host in it is a clark, however that isn't always the way it goes.
they are not a good anemone for captivity because they will generally loose their vibrant purple and reds when in captivity. I got lucky with mine and picked it up as a hitchiker, it just appeared one day.
normally in captivity they will be a washed out brown color, I am still researching this subspecies to determin if it is highly photosynthetic or not.

S. Haddoni (one of the "carpet anemones") like to stay in the sand as well.

I've got an H Crispa. Her foot stays down in the sand, although her oral disc is huge and it stretches more than halfway up into my liverocks.

I have two of those and they are from Hawaii. Mine are both a tan colored brown and I was told when they get bigger they will have the exact coloration as yours (white with lavender tips). May I ask how big your anemone is now? And does it kill other corals up on the rocks when it decides to go up there? I'm a little concerned about that. Thank you.

My LTA and sebae used to be anchoerd on rocks up high when I had PC's, but now with my T-5 MH combo they get the light they want and have since moved down into the sand.
I've heard both do prefer sand.
