Sand Mix & Trade?

I'm wondering if any reefers who are coming to the hughestown meet would be interested in doing a live sand mix & trade?

Have everyone bring a cup of live sand and we can mix it right at the site and give everyone a cup of mixed sand back?

Or is this a bad idea?

I think with all the pests going around in tanks these days, it could turn out to be a bad idea.

This used to be a great idea, but until we as a club work together to rid our tank of these pests that are hard to control it is a bad idea for now.

Speaking of I am going to look into pest control a bit and see if I can't put together a powerpoint presentation for the swap. Only if I get some time but it is something I wanted to work on.

That sounds like a really good idea. I'm sure it would be very informative for people who have never encountered some of these pests. I know the only ones we are familiar with are the ones we've had to personally battle.

I have only been keeping corals for a year, and would like to hear more of what I may run into.

This gives me a little more boost to work on it so I will try harder to get it all together before the swap.
