I have my tank up and running for about 5month and all the coral seem to be very happy but the only problem was my sand always turn brown color. I do water changes once per week what should I do to make it go away:fish1:

what are your nitrates and phosphates at? if its a new aquarium they will usually die off over time

I have this it running for 5 month and never had any problem I test the nitrates and phos they both ok. Let me do water changes twice a week to see if they can goes away thank for the help

just because they are reading low or even zero does not mean they are not being introduced in the tank. The algae can eat it up faster than your test kit can read it. What kind of water are you using? Tap water or RO/DI?

I have RODI system maybe the filter need to be changes but everything reading zero also I have alarm for bad water. Not sure what I can do now

could be just part of the cycle algae has to run its course sometimes, could try adding a clean up crew if you dont have one

Diatoms? Not horribly uncommon to have diatoms that far along. Did you use dry rock by chance? I had a very long diatom bloom with my BRS rock (great rock though and would do it again). Also, maybe add a silicate buster cartridge to your RO/DI. Sounds like silicates are getting in somehow or they are just still leaching from somewhere.
