Sand Sifter Suggestions....

Hi everyone!

I am in the process of setting up a new 40-gallon breeder that will be a dedicated Bahamas/Caribbean biotype (or as close as possible!). It will be a while before adding livestock, but I am preparing a list of what I want to add.

The tank will have around 1.75" of Arag-Alive Bahamas Oolite, and I need to have something that is a good reef-safe Caribbean sand sifter. What would you all recommend? One species I had thought about was an Atlantic Sand-Sifting Cucumber.

Any other thoughts, suggestions, or ideas?

Thanks!
Jason

From Caribbean: Nassarius snails, serpent stars, sand sifting stars, sand dollars, blue or brown algae hermits, queen conch.

Get some live sand from down here and you will have spagetti worms and peanut worms in it.

yellow headed sleeper goby, none better

These gobies are great... BUT turns my tank into a sandstorm from his sifting work.... sand all over corals

These guys aren't native to the Caribbean though. I was thinking more along the lines of a Bridled Goby if I go that route.
