'Sand Sifting Crab' pictured at another site

Another retail site has what they are calling a sand sifting crab for sale. They are selling for about $9 for a group of 5. They look almost like a horeshoe crab without the tail. Or like a tick without the long legs if that makes sense.

They do not list the scientific name so I cant do a good search to get more info and sand sifting crab brings back tons of other stuff but nothing about this.


Does anyone know what these are and any details about their usefullness etc.....?

Unfortunately the picture shows the stores name. So I dont know if I can post that.

Here is the picture. I guess pictures are worth a thousand words. If the pic isnt kosher please delete.....
But I dont see a way of getting an ID otherwise.

that's a sand flea. you can grab them by the hundreds in the surf at just about any beach. long term care is spotty. good fishing bait.
