Sand sifting Goby in QT

I'd like to get a sand sifting Goby as my next fish. My QT is bare bottom. Do I need to add sand to it or will the Goby be ok in a bare bottom QT for a few weeks?

Make sure he's eating in the fish store and if he is you probably don't need sand in the qt

They sift to feed so as long as he's eating and not getting skinny he should be fine without sand

+1 no sand needed as long as he is eating.

you HAVE to cover your QT... my 1st Goby even got through a single layer of egg crate... RIP.. :-( I had to double up the egg crate (overlap to make the holes 1/4 the size).
