??? Sand Solidifying ???

I've recently noticed that some of my sand is solidifying...
is this normal? Is it an excess of calcium?
this is in an area that have little current and nothing disturbs it much...

I think it's normal. I've had it happen to both of my tanks (old and current) and no negative effects.

its from the sand settling and not being churned nothing to worry about

There doesn't seem to be any ill effects from it, although I would definitely not consider it "normal"

It seems like the majority of the problems occurred from either dosing improperly, or not having enough sand stirring livestock to help prevent the sand from binding.

IMO... the addition of Nassarius Snails would help prevent it from occurring.
