Sand Storm Issues

im redoing my 75g into a reef and in the process i have taken out all the rock. i had a minor 'sand storm' but it got back when i purposely moved the sand around to create a more visually pleasing look. now its hard to see anything in the tank. i drained out some more water which worked wonders in sucking out some sand but its still horrible. any ideas on clearing up the water faster? i think i remember hearing bout turning a PH on to move the water around, seems to be better than stagnant water. would that work? any ideas? thanks

p.s. i wont take out anymore water without putting that same water in, thought about pushign water out with a pump then through a screen and back in but seems a lil hard to do easily.

thanks

Yes a powerhead will help..... how fast are you trying to get this done?? depending on how bad it is it should be clear by the morning.....

It should clear up overnight, or at least in a couple of days. Shouldn't be too much damage to anything unless it was a deep sand bed, and you disturbed the anoxic area.

I have had luck cutting a hole in the top of a 20oz gatoraid bottle, and cutting the bottom off the bottle. Then I stick a MJ1200 in the lid of the gatoraid bottle, and filter floss in the bottom of the bottle. Several layers allows you to pull the dirtiest top layer out and chuck it leaving behind a clean ready to filter layer behind. Allow that to run and clean up your water, and then you can take it out after a couple of hours or days.
