Sandbed, how deep?

I just set up a new ten gallon and I didn't have very much sand available. It's at about maybe half an inch. Will this be sufficient? Or will I need to buy more?

That should be fine unless you want a deep sand bed (probably not though since it is only 10g and that would take up a lot of space.
