Got a lil overzealous and cut my acrylic with a pocket knife, a tape measurer, and the 2nd piece as a straight edge 
Didn't do very badly at all it's just a LITTLE too wide and needs to be sanded so I can fit it inside the tank 
Just regular sandpaper, something like 60grit would do it right?
