Sandsifting star?

I was looking to get a sandsifter for my peacock tank. I need one that will get the front taken care of b/c he really doesn't go there much and move the sand. Would one be okay? I'm thinking it will b/c he really only goes after snails and crabs. Here and there he may get a fish, but it's few and far between! Any help is appreciated

i keep my peacock with a chocochip star and huge bubbletip brittle star very successfully

Okay, i figured it wouldn't be a big issue, but just thought I would ask before moving forward!

My G. platysoma lives with a purple (red?) serpent star, he rarely pays it much attention, unless it is trying to take food away from him, where he will give it a small whack. It seems OK up to this point, and has learned to wait until after he has eaten to try and grab table-scraps...
