I would also get rid of the play sand. I would try to not waste the water though.

Run your skimmer through the sandstorm, I was pulling light tan skimmate for the first couple weeks I had the tank set up.

There's lots of good people on here. Everyone is on here to trade and give advice, and make the hobby as easy as possible for one another. I've learned lots on from this site. If you don't know the answer to something, or are questioning something, don't be afraid to ask. Most people on here are very helpful.

Well if your water coming out of your RO/DI unit is still at zero TDS you dont need to change your D/I resin and then you can save the one you purchased for later.

bahhhh I just cracked my eruo brace :( and my local glass shop is closed for 2 weeks for vacation. I don' think the day can get any worse. I accidental hit it with a glass mug as I was removing the sand.

I going to brace my tank on the outside edge with 2x4's screwed together in the meantime.

Any other ideas?

Wasn't planning on it. I have about 8" of water in it now. Just enough to cover my rock. The tank isn't bowing so it should hold out until I fix it.
