Sanitize QT aquarium and tools.

I was looking and everyone has different way to sanitize aquariums.
Now did a search for sanitize aquariums and again many ways as what good. I need to sanitize my 20 gal QT.
So I do not kill off the fish for next time please tell me safe way to do this that works many times that you found.

I have been using 2-20g for about 2 months doing the tank transfer method to eradicate ich (2 separate groups of fish). On my 4th day I thoroughly clean out with hot water and scrub with a brush then fill with hot water and add about a cup or so of bleach and let sit for around 24hrs. The next day empty and rinse until no bleach smell can be detected then out into the sunshine to dry for the next 2 days until transfer needs to be completed again. Any additional equipment used (heaters, pumps etc.) are added into this regimen.
