Santa Barbara LFS down to LA

The hubby is going to Santa Barbara in May and will be in LA for a Nine Inch Nails concert while there...so he MUST scout out a few places for me!! Can't bring any live over the boarder, but he can bring dry goods. So what are the LFS that he needs to hit up for quality test kits, 24" T5HO bulbs, phosban, dry food...I like NSL, amino acids...the works!! if it can be packed, he can bring it home!!

I can't imagine it ever being a better deal at a LFS than those dry goods would be online.

Might the exchange rate make it desirable? I honestly have no idea what the exchange rate is, so I may be way off base, and online may still be cheaper. Just thinking though until Kat chimes back in.....
