Santa made an early stop with a Euro-reef skimmer on his sleigh

I got to check it out today in person, and all I can say is its just plain crazy. He has got it tuned to the point now it looks like a 15 gallon cylinder of pure foam.

Thanks again for the tour Mike. Awesome tank... Just wish I would've had more time to BS

Thats awesome Mike. I am very curious to see how well it performs.

There is little doubt that there is plenty of room for growth with that bad boy.

Heya Jeff,

This thing is running better and better every day. The creamy brown foam has started as of this morning :)

The thing is Massive. It holds 15 gals. of water. I still think you should put the bumper sticker on the truck mike. lol

I just finished my first cleaning and I about puked. It definately works very well. Kelly came out to get in her car and she kept saying pew, pew what is that smell. I laughed so hard after she said that. It's almost like a good fart, thats funny right there...

I'll think about putting the sticker on after I see the next electric bill :D

I have an expression I like to use and that expression is, "its the cats meow!" I love it, no tinkering easy operation. All I have to do is clean it once a week. I can let it go probably two or three weeks without cleaning it. If you are in the area, give me a call and stop over and check it out. It is such a simple device that I have no complaints at all.

Its all smoke and mirrors man. That thing is only 18" tall :)

Very nice skimmer (emphasis added)! I sent you a PM. I just purchased a Euro-Reef RC 500 and would like to know more about the feed pump you are using for your skimmer and the size of the flex tube you are using (3/4 or 1 inch)? I was thinking about using a Mag 7 to feed my skimmer w 3/4 inch clear flexible vinyl tubing .

Thanks

Hey Tim, I sent you a PM. However, in case others are wondering the answer to your question. The skimmer is fed with a Via Aqua 2600 power head through about 4 ft' of 3/4" I.D. clear hose. I would estimate the flow rate at 300-400 gph.
