Sargassum and Blue throat

It shouldn't be a problem keeping both together. Blue Throat is the more aggressive of the two. Some times there is a problem getting the Sargassum to start to eat so you need to make sure that the Blue Throat isn't bothering it. Give plenty of rock hiding spaces and you should be fine.

Of the topic a bit, but can a blue throat be maintained long-term in a 125? Sites like marinedepotlive and liveaquaria seem to indicated yes, but I wanted to check. I wanted a sargassum, but was told they would need a 180 or larger long-term and don't have space for a tank this size.

I have a Niger trigger that I bought from a LFS that got him from a 1,000 gallon tank in a mall because he was killing his tank mates. I put him in with my 13" long puffer and some other fish and he was biting them, so I took him out and he's in a 45 gallon tank with my Giant Frogfish until I get someplace else to put him.

They do fine together, he's 10" or so and the Frogfish is 14" just about.
