Sargassum Fish

I was wondering if anyone had any idea what to feed a sargassum angler. I would assume shrimp, the problem is that he is just under an inch long. I'm not sure what he would eat. I believe Artemia to be too small, but the mysis I have are about 1.5x his size. I still may try one later though. Any direction would be great.

yeah..the problem is that live food are a little hard to get..i think that is what i'll have to resort to though

Post up some pictures.

Im kind of in the same boat as you. I just bought a yellow angler and havent got him to feed yet. At the pet store they said he was eating glass shrimp and brine. I let you know how it goes.

Just got back from the local pet store and picked up some roseys and glass shrimp.

Thats all it took to get my angler eating. I fed my lions krill and silversides first to try and get them full first. It took the frog a couple of seconds before he pounced on the rosey swimming right in front of his face. The second rosey didnt take half as long.
I didint see him eat any glass shrimp. I hope to have him eating frozen soon. First things first and that to get him to eat, period.

good luck and I hope yours eats as easy as mine did.

Heres a picture of mine from another thread, hope you dont mind.

Looks like Antennarius Hispidus. Great picture.

I had to feed my angler live mollies for the first few days. I froze one, and then offered it on the end of a stick. She ate it, and has eaten frozen foods since. I've had her 11 months.

I've got him eating amphipods and he seems pretty content with them. I will continue live foods until he is a little older.
