Nothing like finding an ac tech into reef keeping and seeing the importance and attention to detail you rarely see in business any more.
So Friday night my AC stopped blowing cold and my house was up to 86 when I got home. Through a friend I got the number for Fontana Brothers heating and AC, I called them hoping for a quick and easy fix but at that point I was beyond that. Being currently unemployed I thought I would have to break out the emergency window units indefinitely. Luckily when I mentioned my fish tank he said he would be out first thing in the morning to check everything and do a tune up.

After a detailed cleaning of every single piece of the outside unit, removal of all leaves and debris from in and around the compressor and coils, he performed a super heat and super cool test, tested the capacitor and informed me the fan motor was dying and the system was 2 lbs low on R22. After a recharge, new fan motor and capacitor and cleaning, I have air coming out of the downstairs vent at 48 degrees.

I learned he had a 215 and got the itch again after seeing my tank...lol Two thumbs up to Fontana Brothers heating and AC!

Lol yeah, the 3 and 7 yr old I can cool down in a bath...lol I forgot to mention them.. tank was priority..haha

Hehe Subcooling. lol Still laughing over super cooling. Easy mistake. Glad someone else in the business is into reefing.

Wonder if I know them?

lol. Not trying to crack on you too hard I just thought it was funny.

Doesn't sound familiar I just wondered if I ran into him at the fish stores or ac supply houses. Reef tanks only seem to come up there when I am hunting parts for a new reef contraption. They always want to know what its off of and I say don't worry about it. They persist and then say nevermind. :)
