Figured I would register and say hello to everyone from the area.

Im from right outside albany, and ive just recently started adding livestock to my 150 gallon.

So far ive got around 125lb's of liverock
a 3'' humu humu trigger
and a 3-4'' black lionfish

First post and already including some pics...fantastic!

How about a few specs...

How long has it been set up?
What equipment you using?
What do you intend to keep in there...FO tank?

Details!

Its been set up for close to a month. When it started i added the 125lb's of liverock from a well established tank, and my cycle took around 7-8 days for the spike, and fall, and after the first water change and ghost feeding, all my readings were dead on, so i picked up the trigger about 2 weeks ago, and the lionfish yesterday.

Its a 150 gallon, just a single 45 watt(i think, for now atleast till i upgrade) 10k bulb, cold cathode blue lights, corallife 150 protien skimmer, filstar xp3 canister filter, 2 powerheads, and 2 300 watt heaters

Gonna be a fish only tank, I want to get a good bit more liverock sooner or later, but deffiently not interested in corals at the moment

Welcome its actually good to hear that someone wants to keep a fish only tank. We don't have too many in the club.

Welcome tp the club!

Where, in your case, is 'outside of Albany'? I am interested as David C ( posted above) and myself are outside as well - could be opposite of you, though. We are in Johsntown/ Gloversville ( by T-way exit 28)

When i said outside of albany, i was actually quite literal, i can see downtown from my balcony lol

Im located in rensselaer but probably looking to move soon. I live in a nice neighborhood, but this city keeps getting worse and worse as time goes on!

Martin,

let us know if you find a nice place to move to - seems like all areas are getting worse and worse! Good luck, hope you'll make it to a meeting in the near future!

Well another vicitm, err I mean MEMBER
Welcome. And as Xian stated nice to see a FO tank in the area, I couldn't do it. Those corals have such a hold on my family don't think I could do it, even in the wifes pending seahorse tank.
