Scallops

why do you have scallops in a new tank? They usually don't survive in an established tank. My guess is that it is dying. good luck

No, scallops from what I have read are not able to be kept long term in our tanks. I seen the electric eye one awhile ago and really wanted one, but my research said it's a big no no.

Sorry. Good luck with it anyway.

It's part of their mantel, they flick it back and forth, it seems like electric but it's not.

You will get 1 year tops out of the scallop, you can not provide it with proper nutrition.

i bought a scallop of different kind different color and different shape lfs called it file clam but it was cheap and i have had it for a month now and all is good. I only got it to use as a test subject cause i kept losing clams in my 75 gallon and tonight i found out why. I have pyramid snails found one on file clam and cleaned it off and moved it to another tank. so hopefully my sixline will pick them off cause i'm not sure what else will kill them.
