Schmittyg's 29g Nano Diary

really good looking cube. i have a similar set up. wish i could do a MP10 but will have to settel for a korallia 425. did you add any extras in the overflow areas?

No extras. Still trying to learn the best scenario. Ive actually been buying pre-mixed water from my LFS and today found out that if I can make my own, that things in the tank would be a lot better off, so that's next on the docket. Also, I came home today to TWO anemone's, so it has officially split already. Wow, that was fast. Now just hope for at least one of my perc's to create a relationship with em"”Photo coming soon...

Thanks guys, Im TRYING... Still need to get the new MP10 dialed in, going to the LFS soon to hopefully get a goby or fish and would like a couple more coral pieces"”any suggestions? Thinking about getting a Brain coral to put in the middle on the sand. The anemone so far is doing well, still hasn't bonded with the clowns though which was a big part of why I wanted him. Ive been reading about ways to make that happen but want to wait a lil bit til he's fully comfortable in the tank.

Consider a blenny too. I have a YWG and a tailspot blenny. I see the blenny far more than the goby. Love both though.

The YWG is a Yellow Watchman I assume? I still want another fish for sure! Was looking at the goby's. Also kind of leaning towards a Royal Gramma which have got mixed reviews. Not that big of a fan of the firefish. Love the wrasses, but afraid to put them in my small tank with corals... Love Angels too, Fire or Coral beauty... I dont know, Ill probably get the goby next to buy me some more time to make a deciscion on fish.
the other option is maybe to get like three chromis that swim around together. Need some fish that dont hide for sure. Thanks guys!

It looks like one of my clowns is starting to host one of the rose anemone's... Photos coming soon. Just bought a blue cleaner goby also. I still need a fish that swims around, right now, the shrim, the two clowns and the goby all hang out in one zone which is all the same zone, so the tank still looks kind of bare fish wise... Im thinking of biting the bullet and either getting a royal gramma or a six line(or some other type of)wrasse.

Its been way too long, but Im back. My tank is not doing AS good, but Im gonna work on it. Ive lost the shrimp and the star polyp and zoas... Not sure why, but Ive NEVER had good luck with zoas although everyone says theyre some of the easiest to keep... Photos coming soon. Gotta raise my calcium and lower the Kh but other then that I think things are right around what they need be...

Just chickened out buying a Harlequin and got three hermit crabs and an emerald—then read that emeralds might end up eating your zoas?!?! UGH. I still think Im gonna get a Harlequin, but already with adding more calcium on the daily, my mushrooms are bouncing back and the polyps have gone from two to 5. Small baby steps...

Polyps still at five but mushrooms look like they're staring to take off. Bought salt today and plan to start making my own salt water-keep ya posted. Does anyone care???

Been adding Magnesium more regularly, upped the dose of Calcium and YES, I bought "Harley" the harlequin shrimp to hopefully take care of the astria stars(easily 100). Photo coming soon...

Yeah, I dont know what happened... maybe when the forum did theyre relaunch the old links are gone???

Also, does anyone know how to upload photos onto this forum from an iphone?

DOesnt look like I can edit the old posts, other wise I could try and find the photos and reupload em...... UGH. Maybe Ill delete this thread and start over???
